I Miss Some Australian Open 2011

So folks, I miss the first three days of Australian Open 2011 thanks to college stuff. Thankfully there are still 11 days to enjoy the Australian Open actions.

Other updates from myself (mostly related to Computer Science fields)

I’m supposed to be free from projects yesterday but I still need to go to college today and the next day since there are two make-up classes.

I am now turning my focus back into web design. I want to use WordPress and try creating the theme from scratch. New knowledge about position in CSS which I gained from one of my lecturers hopefully will help me to achieve the objective.

After web designing, I will probably do some experiment with JDBC. I believe my knowledge now is adequate for implementing database into real life. I forgot a lot of Java syntax, thanks to C++. Hopefully, I’ll remember it all again in short time.

I found database and networking are interesting. And… object-oriented design (plus patterns) is irritating.

If not experimenting with JDBC, I’ll turn my focus to ActionScript 3. I already have an idea for a game, and if I am able to actually make it, I’ll upload it into Kongregate. Some of my colleagues are able to create wonderful games and have uploaded into the Kongregate. I’m so envious. I don’t do much coding on my Multimedia Systems final project (creating Flash game) therefore there are still lots of steps to take before I am able to create a nice interesting flash game.

If not ActionScript 3, trying again to learn Objective C to develop iPhone App would be nice as well. Or, creating a game for BlackBerry (since BlackBerry App is developed using Java, the effort will probably smaller compare to having to learn new language again from scratch).

I will upgrade my laptop’s RAM. I’ll add another 2GB, for sure since I need to play with virtual machine. I’ll install Ubuntu as well.

My desktop is having blue screen. I do not know how to repair it. Probably later on, still enjoying playing on my laptop. I am now considering to buy another Mac as well so I can develop in XCode more freely (but maybe later in the future if I have developed iPhone App seriously).

I hate traffic in the morning these recent days. During 8 to 9 o’clock, the traffic was so hectic. Before, I only need 30 minutes to 40 minutes to arrive at my college. But today, I need at least 1 hour to reach my college, on average it takes 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. Will surely pursue my double degree if the traffic is worsen.

I am now enjoying having late classes (read: staying late in college until night, gossiping with friends).

Let’s see if anything from these expectations will actually be fulfilled later in the future (OOOH, I can’t wait!)
